MIZELL MEDICAL CLINICS
There are now three primary care clinics and one specialty clinic owned by Mizell Memorial Hospital. Two of our primary care clinics are located in Opp, with the third being in Elba, AL. In all 3 of these clinics, we see patients of all ages ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics and are currently accepting new patients. Our services range from physicals to diagnosis and treatment of minor illnesses. The Specialty Clinic offers orthopedic, podiatric, cardiology and otolaryngology (ENT) services.

Dr. James Norman
Dr. James NormanDr. James Norman graduated from Troy University in 2008 with a BS in General Biology. He obtained his MD from University of Alabama Birmingham in 2012. He completed his family medicine residency at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Indiana in 2015 and a fellowship in primary care obstetrics there in 2016.
A board-certified family medicine physician, Dr. Norman offers full spectrum family medicine, seeing children of all ages and adults. He also performs colonoscopy and upper endoscopy at Mizell as well as minor procedures in the office.
In his free time, Dr. Norman enjoys gardening, music, and spending time with his children and at the family farm in Luverne.
Katie S. Bowers, RN
Katie will be joining the Clinic 1 provider team on June 1, 2026. Katie holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and will graduate with a Master of Science in Nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner track in May 2026. She began her nursing career in the Emergency Department at Mizell Memorial Hospital where she "gained strong clinical skills and experience caring for a diverse patient population." She plans to use this experience to address "healthcare disparities and strengthening community health resources while providing care for the community" of Opp and the surrounding areas.
Bowers is a native of Opp and is married to Drew Bowers. She and Drew have 2 children, Amelia Drew and Sawyer. Outside of work, Katie enjoys spending time with family and friends whether at the ball fields, at the beach or on the family farm. Katie and Drew are active members of First Baptist Church of Opp.

Larry Norris, P.A.
Larry C. Norris is a graduate of Auburn University, earning his Bachelor's of Science degree In Education. He earned his degree as a Certified Physician's Assistant from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Born and reared in Andalusia, Larry is a member of the First United Methodist Church in Andalusia, Alabama. Larry is also a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the American Academy of Family Physicians, and the Opp Area Chamber of Commerce.
In his personal time, Larry enjoys family, outdoors, and Auburn football.
As part of the Mizell Medical Clinic 2, Larry specializes in family practice, urgent care, annual physicals/wellness exams, acute wound care, basic orthopedics including joint injections, minor dermatology procedures, DOT physical exams and drug screens, sports physicals, school bus physicals, Coast Guard physicals, allergy injections and weight management. Larry is also DEA certified.
Larry and his staff are readily available to serve the members of this community and the surrounding areas. He is accepting new patients and walk-ins are welcome.
Norris is excited to be serving the citizens of Opp and the surrounding areas and will be working under the supervision of Dr. Michael Stanfield.
Vicki Senn, CRNP
Vicki is a 2012 Summa Cum Laude graduate of Auburn University of Montgomery (AUM) with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She completed a Masters in Science in Nursing from AUM in 2014 with dual tracks of Nurse Educator and Family Nurse Practitioner. Vicki brings over 34 years of direct patient care experience with her. She is a member of the Wiregrass Nurse Practitioner Alliance and American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Additionally, Vicki is certified as a Lay Christian counselor for family support and by the Alabama Organ Bank for family counseling.
Vicki was born at Mizell and raised in Opp, AL. She has been married to Scott Senn for 30 years. In her free time, Vicki enjoys playing the piano, crocheting and doing graphic design projects. She is an active member of Harmony Baptist Church.

Elba Healthcare
Breann Green, CRNP
Breann joined Elba Healthcare April 27, 2026. She is a 2015 graduate of Troy University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and later obtained her Master of Science of Nursing with a Famiy Nurse Practitioner track. She has over 10 years of nursing experience including hospital, nursing home and hospice care.
Green is a native of Elba, AL and is a strong advocate of "keeping primary care in Elba." She is not a stranger to Elba Healthcare as she did most of her clinical training with Dylan McCullough, CRNP, during his tenure with Elba Healthcare. She is an athlete "at heart" and has a special interest in sports medicine but truly enjoys practicing Family Medicine and taking care of patients of all ages.
Breann is married to Alex Green and has 3 children, a 14 year old son and 6 year old twin girls. She and her family enjoy spending time at the lake or the beach, camping and playing sports.

Michael A. Maschek, DPM
Dr. Michael Maschek obtained his bachelor's degree in 1997 from Liberty Baptist University, Lynchburg, VA. He then graduated from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in 2001, completing his three year surgical and general medical residency at Sister's Hospital, Buffalo, NY.
Dr. Maschek worked in private practice in Garrettsville, Ohio and within the University Health Care system. He feels that it is a privilege to have the opportunity to work here at Mizell Hospital. His practice encompasses all types of foot disorders including diabetic foot care, wound care, sports injuries, deformities, neuropathy and arthritic conditions.
In his free time, Dr. Mick enjoys spending time with his wife and five children, who all love traveling and exploring new places.
