8:00am – 5:00pm
Monday-Friday
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Licenses: Currently licensed in the State of Alabama as an LPN. BLS certified.
Requirements: One year of nursing experience required, experience in an office setting is preferred, computer skills a must.
Monitor patients’ vital signs; blood pressure, pulse, height and weight. Administer basic nursing care. Discuss the patients’ health care needs and listen to their concerns. Collect samples from patients and administer minor lab and blood work. Report status to physician/nurse practitioner and keep records on the patients’ health. Assist in making appointments for patients. Keep exam rooms clean and stocked with supplies. PA for prescriptions and diagnostic testing as well as giving medication oral and injections. Give eye and hearing tests, collects equipment, assisting and cleaning up after procedures and sterilization of instruments. Must attend work as scheduled and complete responsibilities following established guidelines and protocols within appropriate time frame. Must maintain a good working relationship with staff, co-workers and customers. Use good people and communication skills as well as maintaining a positive attitude and other duties as assigned.
